Mark Bilney

Following a successful military career leading complex operations, Mark has spent over two decades in management consultancy, building a global reputation for developing high-performing senior leadership teams. As a former Managing Director, he has led the design, delivery and embedding of some of the most successful, and effective, operations leadership development programmes commercially available.

Mark works with senior executives across sectors to build the internal capability to solve organisational challenges and embed sustainable, cultural change. Known for his pragmatic style and human-centred approach, he continues to support leaders worldwide. Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, and his consultancy specialises in helping clients create an environment and culture where Operational Excellence (OpEx) can thrive. The consultancy provides OpEx training, coaching and consulting support.

OpEx Coaching

Once staff have undergone ISBL OpEx training, Mark Bilney Ltd can provide operational coaching support to trusts. Coaching support is focused on helping staff with the implementation of OpEx techniques, tools and practices ‘on the job’ and at their place of work. Training builds competence, but the coaching will help build confidence in the application of OpEx principles and methodology. Operational coaching differs from standard coaching in that it nurtures and supports the individual, whilst moving them along a path to delivering tangible results. It is a mixture of support ‘pulled’ by the individual based on their needs, and OpEx leadership, towards measurable, delivered benefits.
